How much can I earn?
It's simple arithmetic: an overnight stay pays you $52–$60 a night depending on your tier — five nights a week is $260–$300, before daycare, walks and home visits on top. What you earn comes down to the services you offer and your availability.
What does it cost to join?
The Hero plan is completely free. You'll need to pay $30 for a police check after approval. That's it — no monthly fees to get started.
How quickly can I start?
Applications are reviewed within 1-2 business days. Once approved and your police check clears, you can start accepting bookings immediately.
Do I need experience?
Pet ownership experience is great, but professional experience isn't required. We look for people who genuinely love animals and are reliable.
Am I an employee?
No — you're an independent contractor. You set your own hours, choose which bookings to accept, and manage your own schedule.
What about insurance?
PetHero doesn't currently provide insurance cover for bookings. If you hold your own public liability cover, that's a plus — and as we add protections over time we'll always be upfront about exactly what's covered.
