Two weeks out
Book dates as soon as travel is firm. School holidays and Christmas fill first. Add your pet’s routine, medication, and the name of your usual vet to the booking notes.
Leave a spare key or lockbox code. Confirm the meet-and-greet. Pack extra food — Gold Coast summer heat is a bad time to run out.
The day you leave
Put the vet card on the fridge. Show the sitter the lead, food, and any cameras you want them to ignore or use. Tell them where the nearest 24/7 hospital is (SASH Gold Coast in Robina is the common after-hours fallback).
If plans change, cancel on the booking screen. More than 48 hours out is a full refund; 24–48 hours is 50%; within 24 hours is non-refundable. If the sitter cancels, you are refunded in full.
