The short checklist
A Gold Coast pet sitter should be police-checked, local to your suburb, willing to do a meet-and-greet, and given your vet details plus the nearest 24/7 hospital before the first stay.
PetHero does not run an open directory. We assign one approved sitter. You still meet them and can ask for a rematch at no cost if the fit is wrong.
Questions to ask at the meet-and-greet
Where do they usually walk dogs near you? Which vet would they use after hours? How will they send updates? What happens if they get sick mid-booking? Write the answers down.
We are upfront that PetHero does not currently carry pet medical insurance. Keep your own cover for vet bills.
