Daytime fun while you're at work.

Your dog deserves more than staring at walls while you work. Our daycare sitters run small, supervised play groups where your dog gets real socialisation, proper exercise, and genuine attention — not just a spot in a warehouse with 30 other dogs. Pick up a tired, happy pup every evening.

How it works

1

Book a day

Pick your day (or set up a recurring weekly schedule) and tell us about your dog — their energy level, play style, how they are around other dogs, and any quirks we should know about. This helps us match them perfectly.

2

Morning drop-off

Arrive between 7-9am. Your sitter will greet your dog by name, do a quick health check, and ease them into the group. First-timers get extra one-on-one settling time before joining the play session.

3

Play all day

The day is structured with active play, socialisation, rest periods, and meals. Groups are kept small (4-6 dogs max) and matched by size and energy. You'll receive photos throughout the day so you can see the fun firsthand.

4

Evening pick-up

Collect your happy, exercised dog between 5-6pm. Your sitter will share a full day report — what they ate, how they played, who their best friends were, and anything notable. Most dogs fall asleep in the car ride home.

What's included

Supervised socialisation

Forget giant warehouse daycares with 40 dogs and two overwhelmed staff. PetHero daycare groups are capped at 4-6 dogs, carefully matched by size, energy level, and temperament. Your dog actually gets to know their playmates, build friendships, and receive individual attention throughout the day.

Indoor & outdoor play

Our sitters have secure outdoor yards for running, chasing, and exploring, plus comfortable indoor areas for rest, rainy days, and calmer play. Gold Coast weather means most days include plenty of outdoor time — with shaded areas and fresh water stations to keep everyone cool and comfortable.

Feeding on schedule

Bring your dog's regular food portioned for the day and we'll serve meals at their normal times. This prevents tummy upsets and ensures they eat what they're used to. Special dietary requirements? We handle raw, grain-free, and prescription diets — just let us know.

Rest time included

Daycare isn't all go-go-go. We build in quiet periods with comfortable rest spots where dogs can nap, decompress, and recharge. A balanced day with structured rest means your dog comes home happy-tired, not overstimulated-tired. There's a big difference.

Photo updates

Every daycare session includes multiple photo and video updates sent straight to your phone. See your dog making friends, playing in the yard, and snoozing after lunch. It's reassuring, and honestly, it'll make your work day a lot more enjoyable.

Small group sizes

Quality over quantity is our philosophy. With a maximum of 4-6 dogs per sitter, every pup gets proper supervision, individual attention, and a safe environment. Your sitter knows every dog by name and watches body language to keep interactions positive and fun.

Common questions

What are daycare hours?
Standard daycare hours are 7am to 6pm, with drop-off between 7-9am and pick-up between 5-6pm. Need earlier drop-off or later pick-up? Most sitters are flexible — just discuss it when you book. We also offer half-day sessions (up to 5 hours) if your dog doesn't need a full day.
Can my dog come every day?
Many of our daycare regulars come 3-5 days a week! You can set up a recurring weekly booking through your dashboard, and your dog will go to the same sitter each time. Dogs thrive on routine, and regular daycare dogs often form genuine friendships with their group mates. Some sitters say the 'regulars' get excited the moment they see the car pull up.
What about shy or anxious dogs?
This is something we take really seriously. Shy or anxious dogs aren't thrown into a big group — they start with a calm, one-on-one introduction with the sitter. Depending on their comfort level, they may join a smaller, gentler group or stick with solo play and enrichment activities. Many shy dogs blossom over 2-3 sessions as they build confidence. Our sitters are experienced in reading dog body language and know when to push gently and when to give space.
Do I need to bring food?
Yes — please bring your dog's regular food portioned and labelled for the day. Switching food can cause digestive issues, so we always feed what your dog eats at home. If your dog eats raw, grain-free, or prescription food, that's no problem. Just include clear feeding instructions (amount, timing, any supplements) and we'll follow them exactly.
Is daycare suitable for puppies?
Yes! Puppies over 12 weeks with up-to-date vaccinations (including at least their first two rounds of C3/C5) are welcome. Puppies join age-appropriate groups and get additional rest time since they tire faster. It's actually an excellent way to socialise your puppy during the critical developmental window between 12-16 weeks. Our sitters are experienced with puppy-specific needs like toilet training reinforcement and bite inhibition.
