What does overnight sitting include?
Your pet moves into the sitter's home for the duration of your trip. They get their own dedicated sleeping area, meals served on their regular schedule, daily walks and play sessions, 24/7 human companionship, and medication management if needed. You'll receive daily photo updates and activity logs through the PetHero app. It's like a holiday for your pet — just with more belly rubs and fewer suitcases.
Can I bring my pet's bed and toys?
We absolutely encourage it — in fact, we recommend it. Bringing your pet's bed, a worn t-shirt that smells like you, their favourite toy, and their regular food makes a massive difference. Familiar scents reduce anxiety and help your pet feel at home faster. Most sitters say pets who arrive with their own belongings settle in within the first 20 minutes.
What if my pet needs medication?
Every PetHero sitter receives medication administration training as part of their onboarding. During booking, you'll share your pet's medication schedule, dosage, and vet details through our secure form. We handle oral tablets, liquid medications, topical treatments, ear and eye drops, and even insulin injections. Your sitter will confirm each dose in the app so you can track compliance in real-time.
What's your cancellation policy?
We get it — plans change. Cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before your pet's check-in time. Cancellations within 24 hours may incur a 50% charge to compensate the sitter who blocked their calendar for you. If you need to extend a stay, just message us through the app and we'll coordinate with your sitter — availability permitting, extensions are usually seamless.
Can I book for multiple pets?
Absolutely — and it's one of our most popular requests! Additional pets from the same household are just $10 per night each. Most of our sitters can accommodate 2-3 pets comfortably, and siblings who stay together tend to settle in even faster. Let us know during booking so we can match you with a sitter whose home is set up for multiple pets — think separate feeding stations, enough sleeping spots, and a secure yard.
